The Aqui é Fresco chain has once again chosen Forum Braga [BL1] as the venue “for the largest convention in the retail sector in Portugal”, to be held on the 2nd and 3rd of June 2024. The choice of Braga “also reinforces the Aqui é Fresco’s commitment to the north of the country, where it has an extensive presence with 452 shops”.
The Aqui é Fresco Convention brought together 90 stands with the main national and international companies and brands, welcoming around 1,500 participants. Among the guests of honour at the gala dinner, which included a performance by singer Ágata and the awarding of a Career Prize, were the Secretary of State for the Economy, João Rui Ferreira, Braga City councillor Altino Bessa, the president of ASAE – Autoridade de Segurança Alimentar e Económica (Food and Economic Safety Authority), Luís Cardoso Lourenço, the sub-inspector of ASAE, Ana Cristina Caldeira, and the general manager of Centromarca, Pedro Pimentel.
It should be noted that this event was organised under the motto “Here, Solidarity Happens”, with the aim of reducing food waste, in which all surplus meals and products not consumed over the two days of the 13th Aqui é Fresco Convention were donated to FAM – Fundação dos Armazenistas de Mercearia (Grocery Stores Foundation), an IPSS (private social solidarity institution[BL4] ) that works to improve the living conditions of people with various difficulties.
White Glove is responsible for organising the catering, audiovisual and decoration services throughout the event.
